Separate incidents claim three lives

At least three people, including a minor, lost their lives while one was injured in different incidents in parts of Karachi on Monday night.

According to details, an eight-year-old girl died due to electrocution in Johar Chowk area of Orangi Town. After being informed, rescue teams tranferred the dead body of a child to hospital for further examination. 

Later, the body was handed over to kin. Acccording to rescue sources, the deceased was identified as Rania.Another incident occurred in Malir, area of the city where one person was dead and another was seriously hurt as cylinder exploded at a puncture shop. 

Rescue workers rushed the spot and moved the dead and injured to nearby hospital. The deceased was identified as Wasey Rizvi, sources informed. On the other hand, a man was killed as some unkonwn armed assailants opened fire on him in Nazimabad No 2. 

The attackers have managed to flee from the scene after the incident. After getting information, rescue teams reached at the location and shifted the body to hospital. Sources informed that, the deceased was identified as Adil Khan. 

Earlier, on September 25, Two people were killed and three others were injured in pipeline explosion caused by leakage of gas in a house in Karachi on Friday. 

According to details, a gas pipeline exploded in a house located near New Karachi Chowrangi, killing two persons and injuring three others.Rescue officials said, when the gas pipeline was affected during the excavation, the work was continued without repairing it, which caused pressure in the line. 

Pipeline caught fire due to gas leakage.Police said, the blast occurred in a house and burned five people, including two women and a child. 

Two people succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Police officials added that an investigation has been launched after collecting evidence from the scene.
