Karachi: Valuables reduce to ashes as fire hits two factories, warehouse

Sindh News Fire in two factories and one godown in different areas of Karachi on late Monday night. The blaze in various places reduced cloth, shoes and other valuables worth millions of rupees to ashes.  According to details, fire erupted at a textile mill located near Valika Chaurangi area of the city which spread rapidly and engulfed the entire building, destroying more than 100,000 metres of cloth.  On the other side, fire also broke out at a garment factory located in the New Karachi Industrial Area which engulfed the entire factory.  Rescue sources said that cloth worth millions of rupees was gutted in the fire. In another incident which was occurred on late Monday night in Motan Das Market where a fire erupted at a shoes godown.  Valuables worth millions of rupees were burnt to ashes by the fire.  After being informed, fire brigade and rescue teams rushed at the location at three different affected places and brought the fire under control after several hours of effort.  No casu

Sindh sets up inquiry committee to probe arrest of Safdar, IG Sindh case

Sindh News Sindh government has established a five-member committee to investigate the issues of Capt (retd) Safdar arrest and IG Sindh case. According to sources, the committee comprising Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani, Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab was constituted. Three hurt as car rams into footpath in Karachi

Sindh News At least three people were critically wounded after a speeding car rammed into footpath in Karachi on late Friday night. According to details, the incident took place at the Karsaz Road in Karachi where a rashly driven car skidded off the road and rammed into footpath, as a result, three people injured while the car was badly damaged. After getting information, rescue teams rushed at the location and moved the injured people to nearby hospital. Earlier, on September 29, at least three people, including a minor, lost their lives while one was injured in different incidents in parts of Karachi on Monday night. According to details, an eight-year-old girl died due to electrocution in Johar Chowk area of Orangi Town. After being informed, rescue teams tranferred the dead body of a child to hospital for further examination. Later, the body was handed over to kin. Fire at chemical godown in Karachi extinguished

  Sindh News Fire that erupted at a chemical warehouse located in the Shershah area of Karachi on late Tuesday night which spread rapidly and engulfed the entire building was extinguished.  According to sources, fire tenders and rescue teams rushed to the spot and being informed and brought the fire under control after two hours of hectic efforts.  No human loss was reported in the incident, however, chemicals and other valuables worth million of rupees were burnt to ashes.  The cause of fire is not yet known, sources said.  A day earlier, fire erupted at an oil warehouse located near the Razzaqabad Police Training Center in Karachi.  After getting information, three fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and started operation to control the blaze.No casualty or injuries was reported in the incident, sources informed.  The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained, they added. Woman dies due to wrong injection in Tando Allahyar

Sindh News A woman died after she was allegedly administered a wrong injection at the Civil Hospital in Tando Allahyar on Saturday morning. According to details, the heirs blocked traffic by placing the body of the woman on the main highway and protested against the hospital administration.  The heirs accused the Civil Hospital administration that the patient was completely healthy after giving birth, but the woman's condition deteriorated after the nurse injected her.  While due to lack of petrol in the ambulance, he could not take the patient to Hyderabad even when the patient died. On the other hand, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Hafeez Leghari reached the spot and assured the protesters of justice after which the protest was called off. Abdul Hafeez Leghari further said that the Deputy Commissioner has taken notice of the matter and formed an inquiry committee which will submit a report in two days and legal action will be taken against those involved in the incident. TikTok craze claims another life in Karachi

Sindh News A teenage boy lost his life while filming a video for popular video-sharing platform TikTok in Karachi on Friday night.  According to details, the shocking incident took place at Lyari express, area of Karachi where a 13-year-old boy killed and three others were wounded after they were run over a hi-roof while recording a video. Police have rushed at the location and commenced investigation into the matter.Police said the accident happened on the Lyari Expressway this evening when the four pedestrians were recording for popular short-video app TikTok video on the expressway when a high-roof vehicle hit the children. The deceased has been identified as Salman.The police have apprehended a vehicle driver and registered case.
